Our team picks... SS21 Favorites.

Can you imagine yourself walking around with a bubble of sweet joy in your hand? You sure can, just picture this bag wrapped around your fingers and voilá! You can even fill it with literal joy: candy! *heart emojis in all colours*

Kika, General Experience Manager

Well, I'm a massive fan of burgies and this one looks fayyyaaaa! As so, I'll definitely be wearing this amazing sweater every friday on my Burger Night - a weekly event that takes place at home in which potatoes are allowed to have different shapes each week, it's great tummy fun!

- Kika, General Experience Manager

I now have a new appreciation of relaxed and loose-on-the-body silhouette clothes, like the Mariana Jumpsuit from FRNCH. It's as comfortable as it is classic, thanks to its wide pants, patch pockets and removable belt (perfect for cinching the waist).

- Benedita, Communication Consultant

Made by shoemakers with over 50 years of experience, JJ Heitor combines femininity and (comfortable!) contemporary style with high end material and finishes. These slides are the living proof of it.

- Raquel, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

Loreak Mendian is one of my favorite brands at maranathahouston. Very simple, however it is perfect to mix with all types of styles. I specifically choose the Celia pants because it's silhouette is one of my favorites and it looks really cool with just a pair of sneakers and a t-shirt.

- Ana, Logistic Manager

I don't wear high heels, but if I ever did it would definitely be these ones.

- Ana, Logistic Manager

The Dress from FreshJealous. What's not to like about this piece? It´s elegant, fresh and vibrant.

- Sam, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

The Shirt from Duarte. It reminds me about the sea and it's definitely an amazing option for beachwear.

- Sam, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

Absolutely in love with this piece. You can wear it as a dress but I'd style it as an open oversized shirt with a tank top and shorts underneath....perfect for when you go to the beach and stay for dinner near the bay! (spoiler alert: it gets windy)!

- Elisabete, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

I have to pick two an extra items as I believe these looks amazing worn together! Really cool vibrant pattern mixed with a light and fresh fabric, it's the perfect summer stand out outfit!

- Elisabete, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

When the Summer heat hits, it's time to bring out my Skittle Bottle. This is the exact version I own and it's my companion for the season: it sits on my desk faithfully reminding me to stay hydrated, and I take it on every single vacation trip - and I must say so far it has brilliantly withstood the very very hot sun of the Alentejo.

- Gil, Marketing Manager

There's something about this pair that makes it more than a slide sandal. It's easy to wear (well, it's a slide!), and a little bit edgy with the black sole in a slight platform... but then the wrinkled effect in really smooth beige leather give it a sense of elegance. It feels like not even trying to be stylish while really pulling out all the stops.

- Gil, Marketing Manager

These sneakers are beautiful, and can be used on our daily routine or in a casual style.

- Miguel, Accountant and Merchandiser

These shorts can be used with all types of clothes, as they are very simple.

Miguel, Accountant and Merchandiser

The most simple, stylish and comfortable piece ever with great quality!

- Rita, Store Director (Lisbon)

Comfortable and great quality combined. A summer essential!!

Rita, Store Director (Lisbon)

An oversized jacket with the best material for warm days, 100% linen and 100% portuguese. You can wear it by itself or overlap with any other piece.

- Daniela, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

Matter Matters shows you why the difference is everything. A post modernist 80's brand from Hong Kong inspired by Art deco and Bauhaus. Dare to try it, start with a pair of earrings.

- Daniela, Sales Assisntant (Rīga)

Imagine being a kid and having fun helping cook dinner or even being creative with playdough but instead of making a mess and driving your parents crazy, you're wearing a really cool and nice washable apron!

- Sofia, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

This shirt is just the perfect white shirt. The dropped shoulders, the oversized cut, and the massive pockets and the pleated cuffs...??!! Everything on this shirt is just brilliant. The modern take on such a classic piece of clothing is mindblowing.

- Sofia, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

Loreak is one of my favourite brands at TFR and their designs always surprise me. This shirt is a mixture of my two moods when it comes to picking what to wear: I'll be dragged to earth pastel tones one day and the next day really bold loud colours. The mixture of the two look great on this shirt and the slit detail on the side is really clever too!

- Elisabete, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

Anything pastely will have me smiling from ear to ear and dancing instead of walking. With that in mind, and adding the fact that I now strive for at least one comfort piece per outfit, I've got to say that the Candy Cream T-shirt has won me over. Just look at the name, you would want to eat the tee before even taking a peak at it!

- Kika, Communication Executive

This one is definitely a piece I would wear if they had my size! It will be very nice to see the little girls rocking them though. It has a special detail, I’m not sure if it for the whole collection but some of the pieces were inspired by one of my favorite Portuguese singers: Antonio Variações. The Silvia Dress with the comb pattern should relate to the time when he was a hairdresser probably.

- Sam, Store Director (Rīga)

Check patterns are my thing, so it was a natural and instant choice, the Giselle pants from the brand Sienna. Even though they're designed with discreet colors I think they're a real eye-catcher.

- Benedita, Communication Consultant

I think I should have lived in the 70's. These pants are the closest I'll ever be from it.

- Raquel, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

Man may have discovered it, but women discovered how to use it.

- Joana, Store Director

As cozy as a hoodie can get, the perfect piece to chill with some friends at one's house.

- João, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

I like plain basic Tee's. Ducks are cool, Edmmond clothes are cool.

- Francisco, Administrative Manager

Dresses have always been my favorite piece of clothing. Feminine, breezy and versatile, this beautiful item is timeless and can be styled in so many ways. Also, it hides all the weight you gained during quarantine for eating too many snacks.

- Lara, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

One more tshirt? Yes. This one has tiny details of colour with a soft tone... a smooth step to warm days, from Näz and from Portugal with love.

- Daniela, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

Right now I'm craving for the beach in great need of vitamin Sea!

- Gui, Co-Founder & CEO

I would wear this as a dress.

- Rita, Store Director (Lisbon)

What I like about Walkers is that they bring cool and different fabrics to simple designs. I'm dying over this shirt because it's so simple but has such a cool touch. I want it!

- Vasco, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

I HAVE to mention this piece as it's named after my hometown, Sines! Haha! But I can tell you more about Näz: they're sustainably focused, only use natural materials and of course are designed and made in Latvia It's one of my favourite brands at TFR as not only their designs look great but their philosophy is what I look for in contemporary fashion.

- Elisabete, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

I'm more into neutral pieces, but somehow this sweatshirt makes me forget what "my type" is. I've been obsessed with this Klein blue since forever, and the neutral stains add a really cool tridimensional aspect to this piece that by the way also looks really comfortable.

I keep very few secrets, so let's be honest here: my absolute favourite shoe from this collection belongs to a kids' brand - Pied Rougia. Obviously, this says a lot about me, but also does my hair and I still got a job. I just wish my feet were tinier, Mom and Dad, I blame you for my size 39 unpleasant reality!

- Kika, Communication Executive

For this spring-summer season, boots should not be forgotten! I've been keeping an eye on the Tan Greek Boots from the brand Pallas for quite some time now and I think I would totally rock them. Favorite boots so far.

- Benedita, Communication Consultant

Emotionally perfect! Some love stories aren't epic novels. Some, are just unique and perfect shoes.

- Joana, Store Director (Rīga)

Discreet and comfortable - just my taste.

- João, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

Sanjo sneakers made part of my childhood. I'm so glad they're back.

- Francisco, Administrative Manager

Is there anything more Kawaii than comfy lemon-scented sandals to cheer up your feet on a hot summer day? I think not.

- Lara, Sales Assistant (Rīga)

Is it to overrated?

- Ana, COO

Lace-up boots with polka dots from Dulis. Oh Hi again! Long time no see! First of all it is so good to introduce you guys to our new category: KIDS! Yes! We have so much fun here, that it became so complicated to choose only one article. I decided to highlight the brand Dulis Shoes because it’s Portuguese and it’s always so good to work with local products, we feel comfortable saying that quality here is the best, especially when it comes to children’s shoes, an audience that deserves our attention and care. The brand works very well with this foundation and inserts “cuteness” in it, literally speaking. All models are colorful and sweet.

- Sam, Store Director (Rīga)

Been keeping my eyes on this pair ever since we had a sneak preview to its development late last year. I think the proportions are spot on, and love the mix between the mesh textile and leather. They came out a winner on my book. And you can find another colour mix on this design!

- Edgar, Co-Founder & CEO

As soon as I saw this sneaker it caught my eye. The unique design matched with simple colors is really amazing. plus they're comfortable!

- Vasco, Sales Assistant (Lisbon)

I love Wayz' principles, from the choice of eco-friendly materials to the fact that all their production and sourcing is done by family-owned businesses close to Rīga. The Sonder in particular has a timeless design yet evokes this retro vibe, with a subtle color scheme that is so effortless.

Starting today we're launching a new series of blog posts and features aptly named Team Picks. Here, you'll be able to view a selection of topics curated by members of our team, as well as get close up and personal as you learn a bit more about their journey, tastes and favourite spots around town. First one up is Miguel Amaral Vieira, our Rīga-based Marketing Manager.

Miguel has been working in Fashion Marketing for the last 10 years, after undergoing a complete life change from his previous work as a Civil Engineer (his academic background). He also founded the well-renowned menswear and lifestyle blog Beyond Fabric. His style has continuously evolved over the years, going from sartorial to a more comprehensive and eclectic approach. Other passions besides fashion, include cars, bikes, watches and cooking.

Without further ado, here are Miguel's picks including pieces from our latest arrivals, favourite spots in Rīga and Spotify playlist adds.

SHOPPING AT THE FEETING ROOM:

1 - Kinderman Corduroy Short Coat by Delikatessen

"Corduroy is likely one of the most underrated materials in menswear. It's commonly misassociated with older men lacking in the style department, but it is actually a statement both in classic and contemporary menswear. This Jumbo version with extra wide wales and velvety feel is simply superb, especially when paired with such a sleek coat design."

2 - Cardigan Over by Corelate

"Another menswear staple often disregarded by younger generations, cardigans make for great layering alternatives, be it for warmth or visual interest alone. This heavyweight, longer version by Corelate comes in a luxurious and versatile camel shade and can be worn as your outer layer. Just perfect."

3 - Naxos Sneakers by Perks

"A sleek, comfortable sneakers that exudes the sophistication and patina effect of a high-end oxford shoe? Count me in!"

4 - Logo Embroidered Chinos by Champion x Beams

"Even though these are not for the faint of heart, I just love how Champion delivers a cool, contemporary approach to the infamous go-to-hell-pants, made popular by preppy movements."

SPOTS IN PORTO:

1 - Ikeda

"A refurbished 2-storey house with one of the most iconic interior design instalations (simply look up on the second floor) and outstanding Asian cuisine. Although the sushi is wonderful, I strongly advise you to try out the other dishes."

2 - Ton-Up Garage

"As a hopeless petrolhead it makes sense that a place where custom bikes, exclusive garments, food and drinks come together to celebrate motorculture. The recently inaugurated space in Rua de Camões serves healthy meals and snacks besides presenting you with some of the best rides available."

ON LOOP ON SPOTIFY:

"I must say I'm not an avid seeker for the most recent album debuts and usually tend to stick to a few personal favourites. That is not to say I have a small playlist, in fact it's quite broad and eclectic - you can find me listening almost anything from classic to techno".

1 - The River - King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizzard

2 - Sempre bem - Capitão Fausto

3 - Total Football - Parquet Courts
